I define it as modern, professional and versatile. It has its place in an office, a home studio as a decorative element and as monitoring equipment for podcaster.
You’ll enjoy a home recording studio with a metal chassis and glittery finishes. Zooming in on its details, it’s still pretty nice on its own although its walls are not completely smooth.
Its metal grille proves that it is a solid, robust and reliable vocal instrument. However, I regret the presence of plastic buttons. The brand should have proposed metal elements that seem more robust.
The metal-plastic sound mix is enhanced by a non-slip rubber pad on the bottom of the base. This headset allows you to continue recording without interference, even while on a boat. On my desk, this feature prevents the unit from inadvertently slipping and falling on the floor.
Like most Blue microphones, the Blue Yeti Pro Studio has two coil clamp screws to make it easy to mount on a stand. I can also loosen these screws and mount it on an acoustic microphone stand.
I can then use it in a standing position and approach the microphone with ease.
The only drawback of the design is that it is impossible to adjust the height of this kind of microphone or to orient it in a horizontal direction. So I have to be satisfied with a vertical adjustment to pick up sound waves and transform them into a magnetic signal.

The weight of Blue Yeti Pro Studio, a major drawback?
The weight of this USB microphone is its main drawback. The microphone weighs 0.5 kg and the base 1 kg. Moving it frequently is therefore problematic, especially if you plan to record in different places. You might be more comfortable with lighter portable models such as the Neumann microphones.
However, if you want to create the perfect home studio or recording studio in your office, the Blue Yeti is just what you need. You can also use it from its base or place it on a microphone stand. Just unscrew the screws.

Versatile, portable and easy to use, the Blue Yeti USB microphone works without preamp, without installing any third party software and without any other prerequisites. Equipped with a microphone with 3 capsules and 4 polar patterns, you just have to connect it by black USB cable with your PC, laptop, tablet… You can even connect it to a headset by its 3,5 mm jack connector.
